How your eligibility score is calculated
Fully-funded PhD offers are made by professors and departments, so our scoring mirrors how they evaluate applicants. Your answers are scored across 5 weighted categories, adding up to a maximum of 100 points. Research experience, motivation, and recommendation letters together count for more than grades alone, which is why students from Tier 2 and Tier 3 colleges regularly qualify.

What your score means
Your final score maps to an honest read of your profile strength for a fully-funded PhD this cycle, and to the university tier we would recommend targeting. It is a self-assessment, not a prediction or a guarantee of admission:

Is the eligibility check really free?
Yes. The eligibility check is completely free and takes about 2 minutes. You get your score, a country-by-country view of where your degree qualifies you, and a recommendation on which university tier to target, with no payment and no obligation.
What score do I need for a fully-funded PhD abroad?
A score of 70+ indicates a good-to-excellent chance at solid funded programs, and 80+ opens strong mid-tier and some top-tier universities. Scores between 60 and 69 usually mean targeting safety schools with funding, and below 60 we recommend strengthening your profile before applying.
Can I qualify from a Tier 2 or Tier 3 college?
Yes. Your institution counts for only 10 of the 100 points. Fully-funded PhD admissions are decided mainly by research potential (hands-on research, publications, a clear research direction, and strong recommendation letters), which together count for far more than your college's brand name. Many of our students come from Tier 2 and Tier 3 colleges.
What happens after I submit the check?
