EduSail Abroad was founded with one simple belief: No student should have to give up their dream of studying abroad because of money.
We are not just another study abroad consultancy. We are a mission-driven organization that helps Indian students secure fully-funded STEM PhD opportunities at top universities across the USA, UK, Canada, Switzerland, Germany, Singapore, and Australia. Our mission is to turn talent into opportunity: not by selling admissions, but by helping students earn their place through scholarships, research assistantships, and stipends.
Our Philosophy: Ethics Over Commissions
Unlike traditional consultancies that earn commissions from universities, EduSail Abroad works only for students, not for institutions. We guide you toward genuine, fully funded programs that cover tuition, provide monthly stipends (₹2–4 lakh), and offer research or teaching opportunities abroad.

Our Story: It Started With a Student Looking for Answers
Before EduSail Abroad was an institution, it was a real journey through the maze of global admissions, and the realization that ambitious students deserve a clearer roadmap.
Anand was a young graduate in India with a simple ambition: to pursue a fully funded PhD abroad. What he didn't have was a clear roadmap.
He spoke to consultants. He reached out to experts. He searched university websites, read research papers, followed funding announcements, and spent countless hours trying to understand a system that, from the outside, seemed unnecessarily complicated.
Eventually, he figured it out. His persistence led to several funding opportunities, including offers connected with Washington University, New York University, and institutions in Boston. He ultimately chose Boston University in the USA to pursue a fully funded PhD in Theoretical and Computational Chemistry.

In 2023, Anand began sharing his experience with Pawan Kumar. They talked about the students who had the ability and ambition to pursue a PhD abroad, but didn't know where to look, whom to approach, what research direction to choose, or how funding actually worked.
Those conversations continued for months. Gradually, an idea took shape: Instead of simply telling students where to apply, why not build a system that helps them understand the journey itself?
That idea became EduSail Abroad.
Pawan Kumar brought his years of experience in software development and leadership to build the entire technology ecosystem and operational foundation for EduSail Abroad from the ground up, turning an idea discussed between a few people into a technology-enabled platform capable of supporting students through an end-to-end process.
More scholars joined. More students started reaching out. The idea that began with a few conversations in Boston slowly grew into a wider community.
In 2025, EduSail Abroad was formally incorporated as EduSail Abroad Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Today, we work with students across India exploring international PhD opportunities.
But at its heart, EduSail Abroad is still driven by the same question that started the journey: How can we make this process clearer for the next student?

Researcher-Led STEM Mentorship
Our academic direction is led by Anand Sahu, a PhD candidate in Theoretical and Computational Chemistry at Boston University, USA, whose research involves AI and machine learning, who won funded PhD offers from Boston University, Washington State University, NYU Shanghai, and a university in the Czech Republic before choosing his program. That firsthand experience of weighing admissions systems against each other shapes how every scholar is guided, and Anand personally leads the academic direction of every application. He is also a winner of the Merck Innovation Cup 2026 in Germany (AI agent category; 42 participants from 18 countries). Mentors like Dr. Sonam Chorol (University of Barcelona), who also compared funded PhD offers across multiple countries before choosing where she went, extend that expertise through our academic advisor network. We work only in STEM (engineering, computer science, and the physical and life sciences), because that is where our own research experience lies.
